This Recipe Features:


  • 1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil, divided
  • 6-ounces chorizo sausage, casing removed and crumbled or bulk chorizo sausage
  • 1 cup canned diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoky paprika
  • Chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 pound raw peeled and deveined medium shrimp
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 package (8.5-ounces) SEEDS OF CHANGE™ Organic Spanish Style Rice
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen (thawed) peas
  • Pinch of saffron


  1. In 10-inch nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook shrimp just until pink, 3–4 minutes.
  3. Remove from skillet.
  4. Add sausage to skillet; cook and stir 3 minutes or until beginning to brown.
  5. Stir in onion and garlic. Cook and stir 3–4 minutes, until onion is tender and sausage is cooked through.
  6. Stir in SEEDS OF CHANGE™ Organic Spanish Style Rice, tomatoes, peas, paprika and saffron. Cook, stirring constantly, 2–3 minutes or until heated through.
  7. Stir in shrimp. Garnish with parsley.
